Joost van der Plas
Joost discovered blockchain technology in 2011 and bought his first Bitcoin in early 2012. He holds a MSc degree in Business Administration. Joost has a unique combination of 11 years of senior corporate management experience in the telecom industry (KPN, Tele2, and UPC) and over 5 years of start-up experience (social media & telecom).
Balder holds an MSc degree in Economics and Finance, and has a rich traditional financial markets background. Before joining Maven 11 Capital as a partner, Balder traded European cash equities for 8 years at boutique investment bank Kempen & Co, and therefore brings extensive knowledge in the fields of trading strategies and risk management.
Jochem has been investing in the blockchain industry since early 2011. The combination of a thorough technical background (MSc in Systems Engineering) and commercial experience as co-founder of several startups in a range of different industries (telecom, drones, and software) allows Jochem to quickly dissect the technical as well as the commercial side of projects.
Mathijs van Esch
Mathijs started researching blockchain in 2016 when he wrote his thesis about the enterprise usage of blockchains. He joined Maven 11 in 2017 as a research analyst and has fundamentally analyzed over 200 investment opportunities. Mathijs holds 2 MSc degrees in Accountany (with honours) and Tax Economics.
Ruben van den Eshof
Ruben holds a MSc degree in Corporate Finance, and got involved in the blockchain industry in 2017. Prior to joining Maven 11 in September 2018, Ruben spent his time on game theory optimizations. His main focus is the analysis of on-chain data traffic for the use of trading and fundamental investment decisions.
KYC / AML Support
Mengalvio holds a LLB (Law) degree and works as Legal & Compliance Content Developer at Relian B.V. He has been seconded to Maven 11 Capital on a part-time basis by Relian to assist the board with respect to specific know-your-customer & anti-money laundering procedures, and other supporting tasks.
Charlotte van Slobbe
Charlotte has over 8 years of experience in fund raising for both venture capital and private equity. Additionally, she is an active informal investor and manages an active angel network in The Netherlands. Charlotte joined Maven 11 in 2019, and focuses on investor acquisition and relationships.
